Salone del Mobile 2019 - Milan celebrates the ingenuity and sustainability of water
The fifty-eighth edition of the Salone del Mobile was held from 9 to 14 April 2019 in Milan. The central theme of this edition was sustainability, many exhibitors have relied on the theme of sustainable use of natural resources, such as water, offering products with luxury design and low environmental impact.
On the anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci, Italian cultural icon, the event 'Aqua, The vision of Leonardo' was organized, an experiential exhibition that highlighted the importance of water, a very important element for the Italian scientist. The exhibition was built through a sensory journey that puts the visitor in contact with water through the 5 senses.
Salone recorded record numbers of visitors. With 386.236 presences in 6 days, there was a + 12% compared to the 2017 edition. There were 2,418 exhibitors, 34% of whom came from abroad, data indicating the great consideration of the major furniture brands towards the show, but also a great involvement of young Italian and non-Italian design companies.
The Dwelli team has selected the most important novelties of the brands proposed in our store.
